I can't believe time is going by soooo fast!
I feel so ashamed that I haven't been posting anything, but that doesn't mean I haven't been doing anything. I have been sewing up a storm.
First I would like to say Wow! to Shwin&Shwin! I love her! Her patterns are great. I have already bought 2 (the Desmond jacket and the Maxwell Top). I sewed 2 Maxwell Tops already and am preparing to sew tons more!!! Ben just looks so dashing :)
I also have been loving the Pattern Anthology Alphabet Collection! I have sewed two pairs of W Pants (Melissa really knows how to explain techniques). With her help I conquered and love my first zip fly! and welt pockets! I felt so accomplished after I did these I added welts to everything! (Almost literally - it was like welt mania around here).
The first pair I refashioned from a (womens) size 16 pant that I bought at Goodwill for $4 into a (girls) size 7. Sarah loves them!
I also sewed thre recess raglans. See Kate Sew is another one of my favorite "senior" blogger, as I call them. I probably check her and Shwin's blog every day! She did a great job with this pattern and helped me conquer my fear of knits! I was so impressed with how they turned out! Sarah saw Annie's and said "You made that?! It looked like it came out of her drawer [was store bought]". Yay!!!
